A New View of the Great Depression

I will discuss how problems with the international gold standard led to the deflation and depression of the early 1930s, and how New Deal policies explain the slow recovery. I will also discuss policy lessons for today.

This talk includes breakout sessions led by speakers and FSP volunteers. Attendees will be assigned to breakout groups and remain with the same group throughout the conference.
